New Member Needing Help With Coin Valuing.

Legionofshadow New Member United States 0 Posts	Posted 03/18/2018 02:41 am I was going through family possessions and happened upon numerous binders and casings full of coins aging from 1881 all the way to 74. I found a rare coin of which was made in 1881, it is a Liberty V nickel from what I could gather browsing google in an attempt to value the coin. It is a circulated but date and V are still visible. paralyse Bedrock of the Community United States 12057 Posts	Posted 03/18/2018 4:59 pm It would have to be an 1891 or possibly even an 1897 to be an 1800s-dated V nickel with an 18x1 date. Google " V nickel" and " Shield nickel" and see which design yours matches. 1881 is not a common date for Shield nickels, so I suspect you will find it to be an 1887 or 1891 dated V nickel.
