Jaobler Pillar of the Community United States 6426 Posts	Posted 06/10/2008 01:10 am Here's a new purchase that I think is pretty nice. It's a raw 1834 bust quarter with apparently original surfaces and no significant problems. It also has a significant die rotation of maybe 70° clockwise (a 90° rotation would mean the eagle is exactly sideways when the coin is flipped over). The third photo shows the degree of rotation; the obverse is aligned straight up and down in the holder. Comments/grade opinions? Edited by Jaobler 06/10/2008 09:29 am Report this Post to the Staff

I don't have Photograde handy right now, but with the clasp and Liberty, my guess is it's above the F level. Just not sure about making EF without some literature in front of me....I think EF needs a really nice clasp doesn't it? Report this Post to the Staff

I think closer to 55 deg. than 70 I know 90 deg. is usually the min. on a lot of coins but not sure about it's effect on value for this particular yr. coin. 90 to 180 is cool though on any.
