Hello All-

I found this penny and looked at it and it looks like a Trail on the number five, but I've not seen one like this.

Does anyone know where I can look to find out more information on this? Thanks

Looks like a small Die Chip on the 5 in the date. A piece of small metal chipped out of the die causing this.

Is this something to hold onto or a good example for a Die Chip?

The cost of keeping it is very low so hang on to it a while until you decide what you really like.

If it were a trail, the other devices would be showing the same thing:

Also trails are not that wide.

I looked at the rest of the coin and don't see any other areas. I thought it was cool because it is squared on the end of the 5.
