Holy Toledo.

That's a biggie. Die cracks don't normally add more than nominal value, but this one would attract some attention.

Very awesome find! Eye candy as well. This is a rare thing to see on any Lincoln Cent, but even rarer on a Shield cent!

It's the kind of coin you always bring with you to a show, for show-and-tell.

A cent like that deserves it's own plastic airtite so you can handle and see it better!

No, best I found was a LMC that had a 3/4 crack on the reverse. Started at the top rim went through the Memorial then stopped before it got to the other rim.

Wow! That's pretty cool that the Die Crack you found was that long. One time during CRH, I found a Lincoln Cent from 1994 I think and the Die Crack was half way long, but stopped. I wish I kept it as a great example. I ended up throwing it in my spend pile. :(

I think he means an Air-Tite capsule. Order a handful of the 19mm cent size for any worthy finds like this.

I guess my meds aren't working very good tonight. Because of the area under LIBERTY right off the rim I'm going to say this is a very large linear plating bubble. Notice the "dots" in line right at the rim, cracks DONT do that! Also, if a crack was that wide, the die would be split apart making the details DISTORTED all over. There is no separation distortion nor weaknesses appearing on the reverse. Wouldn't suggest sending it anywhere but bank!

Fairly sure this was/is a fiber/hair under the plating that has deteriorated causing this massive gas bubble. If pressed upon heavily, it should collapse.
