If you look at this coin what do you see? When I look, I see a mark that almost looks like the word liberty backwards. Any thoughts?

You're talking about what's coming off his nose? Hard to tell without a clearer picture but if it is backwards it was transferred from another coin. The two coins were laid face to face and pressed-struck-squeezed together transferring the image.

My phone sucks I'm gonna invest in a real camera for this stuff from now on cause believe it or not just getting this crappy picture was rather time consuming and frustrating. Lol

It is a lamination. I tried to flip it each way and it is not a pressed coin issue. They are not letters, just the peel of a lamination.
