My son ate at Denny's today and the cashier gave him this in his change. I cant believe people wouldn't notice things like this. It amazes me!

Ay, yi, yi! No, I never saw one of these Indian heads before until I actively sought them out. They never found me. I had to go search for them! Perhaps destiny is playing a hand in your cards of life. Perhaps she's telling you to pursue these illusive coppers. Go for it DCV. That's quite a coincidence!

Wow! Cool find for your son! The oldest coin I ever received in change was a 1937 Cent.

i always wondered whether people still found these things in regular circulation since they still pop up in boxes everyonce in a while, I suppose your living proof that they do

Wow! How cool is that!
I found 2 IHC in 1 bank roll several months ago. A 92 and 93! That was fun.
Nice find dvc!

The funny part is, if this had happened 6 months ago, my son might not have noticed it either, but because he has seen me here lately fussing with coins and always checking my pocket change, I guess it has rubbed off on him a little. Plus, I am very fond of IHC's....hence my avatar. My other favorite is the Kennedy half, but there is no incredible thrill to finding one of those. (That is not to say that I would mind stumbling across a few 64's.) Anyway...glad you all found this to be as unique a find as I did.

You've got a good kid there. He deserves the puppy/pony.

Sweet find! The only Indian Head cent that I found in change was so worn/polished, I'm sure other coin collectors saw it and passed on it...lol. But I kept it! hahahaha
