How rare is a 1988 RDV?
Im starting to believe it isn't as rare as some say it is.

I've never found one, but then again, I've only looked through a few hundred 1988 cents for them.

My searching over the past month has been focused on wheat cents.

RDV Reverse Die Variety. The coin is 1988 RDV-006. This die variety is the coin has the reverse of 1989. You can see this in the FG on the reverse.

It's rare because for the past 20 years a few has come up and being discovered, as to population and statistics its very low.

It was only discovered last year. I found 3 of em so far. I personally think theres thousands of this variety out there to be discovered.

If you look up 1988 RDV-006 youll see some examples.
