Oh the joys of bad picture ebay hunting. Picked this up for $80. I was able to VAM it from the date ( VAM 10), so that helped with authenticity, and it sure looked as though it had AU sharpness, so took a chance. I was surprised to see such a good cartwheel on both sides and detail but sadly it looks as though it might have been wiped on both sides (especially the reverse). Any chance this doesn't detail?

At best, low AU details (cleaned).

The coin looks like it had an old cleaning and toned over.

I don't see how it would straight grade. I see it as details grade.

XF details, cleaned. A bit too much wear for AU in my opinion. A shame, as this was probably a nice circulated example of a tougher date/MM coin before some clown "improved" it.
