Welcome Jemrx2 to the CCF. I'm glad to see a young member sign up. I also have some weird stamped pennies. Do they look like these?

People do this for novelty purposes. It is what you call a modern counterstamp.

WELCOME TO THE FORUM.
Some once posted a story about an entire set of counterstamped coins. Due to old age I can't remember what they were but supposed to be a lot of them. Had something to do with being in a frame for hanging.

yes there were the 50 state Lincoln Cent coins with a counterstamp of each outline of all 50 states and these were framed and sold by one of the places something like franklin Mint (but not them I think). here is a whole set of cents and stamps with each state still in the frame on ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/Unusual-Collect...es_W0QQitemZ270259512199QQihZ017QQcategoryZ683QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
