I am curious as to what members of the coin colletor forum would rather have. As you are most all aware, there are certain attributes of some coins that make them stand out from others ie:full steps, full bell lines, full bands, full torch, etc. My question is this, what would you rather have, money aside, a very nice high end coin with these attributes or the next higher grade with out the attributes?

MS66FBL or MS67
MS66FB or MS67
MS66FS or MS67
MS67FT or MS68

Something like that.

I'm afraid at my age that is a no brainer. Naturally money. When you spend more on medical than on gasoline for your car, there is nothing like money, which is as good as cash.

I'm afraid I don't collect according to grade. I don't own a slabbed coin one, preferring to choose from among raw specimens. This really isn't much of a problem considering I also collect primarily Darkside coins anyway.

When choosing coins to purchase, generally I want the coin to have eye appeal for me. I like coins that I don't already have in my collection and a new country is always a big draw.

I would much rather have a coin with as complete details as possible. In other words, it doesn't really matter if the bell lines are all full, if Franklin's hair and the motto look washed out and unfinished. The more complete the coin the better.

It honestly depends on the coin. Personally, I would rather have a higher grade coin.

That's a tough question for me. It would prob have to come down to which coin I like the best. With the obverse given more "weight" in the grading systems than the reverse, it would have to come down to eye appeal to me. So with that being said if I was buying the coin for my collection I would have to go with the better strike and lower grade. If I was buying the coin strictly for profit I would have to go with the grade, as long as it was a trustworthy company.
Rest in Peace

DCAM really sidetracks me. Otherwise, the higher grade.
