1995-D Lincoln Penny Half Copper Layer Missing

Mdub New Member United States 22 Posts	Posted 12/09/2018 3:19 pm Hey All! Hope everyone is doing well. Brand new to this, so any knowledge you can shed will be extremely appreciated. I found this 1995-D penny while roll hunting. Half of it is copper color and half is a silver color like only half the coin has the copper layer. What is the name for this type of error? Not an error, but rather just damage. As such, it is not sought after and is only worth face value. Since the US mint switched to copper plated zinc cents, this sort of thing is all too common.
