Polished is when someone "buffs" it with a buffing wheel...aka polished. Proof is not a finish or a grade,it is a method of minting. Special dies are used as well as special blanks.None of your coins look like a proof coin. John1

Great info as usual! Thank you John1 for your time and knowledge. My kiddos don't have any interest in my collection and I just don't want them to all be sold as scrap when I die, so I'm trying to 2x2 any "good" ones I find but I just don't know what I'm doing yet. LOL I'm having fun with it though!

Since you are considering selling, you may want to update the pictures so they are not quite as harsh. Right now, they look polished (like John described) but I bet not all of them are. You will be more for them if the images closely represent the current state. Good luck!
