Looks to have a couple rim bruises to go with the heavy wear. Otherwise a nice example I agree it's really a VG.

Depending if the dark freckles are spotting (clean grade) or pitting (Env dmg) would decide if it's straight, I think the rim ding is acceptable for this grade and only stands out due to cameo patina. F12

Only 90% of the blacks spots came off completely after applying acetone followed by xylene.

None of them left a pitted surface.

I'd say VG-10, held back from Fine by somewhat negative eye appeal. Surfaces do look slightly eroded or pitted by some kind of environmental damage.

I have a partial roll of worn, common-date Seated halves. I like to take them out and handle them on occasion. If this were my coin I'd add it to my roll where it would be a relatively high-grade highlight to the set.
