1974 Lincoln Memorial Cent / LMC On Clad Dime Planchet?

I have quite a few coins that the color is off the numbers and letters seem highlighted sort of and I looked them up on certain sites and they come up as being on clad dime planchet or foreign planchet and even dime planchet I have all the markings on my coins that they are showing but the weight of them are still pretty normal to the denomination of the coin itself. Is it possible that this coin Is on a clad dime planchet, even though it's not the weight of a dime? It matches what the website is showing. Pictured below is a 1974 LMC.... Petespockets55 Pillar of the Community United States 5819 Posts	Posted 02/26/2019 05:19 am Not really. Colors alone can be deceiving. Color in the image doesn't look off. If it was on a dime planchet some of the devices (letters and such) and some rim around the perimeter would probably be missing as there wouldn't be enough metal in a dime planchet to spread to and fill the outer devices. Words of encouragement are one of the major food groups. We need to consume them regularly to thrive and grow. Report this Post to the Staff
