I've looked through many thousands of coins in search of errors. I've seen some of the best conditioned coins, and definitely some of the worst. And Today I came across a coin with a unusual Appearance. The indentation perfectly intersects with Roosevelt's chin. And appears to be stamped just as any other part of the coin is, but lighter. And, the coin is in mostly great shape all around. No Deep Scratches or Chips. The photo Provided was the best I could manage to capture. So I hope it's sufficient. So, Has anyone seen anything like this? I would love to know! And, if this happens to be a never seen before Error; I dub this Error - "Chin-Strap".

Thank you for any help You Provide!

The only way it could be a minor error is if it was struck through a
small piece of debri. It also may have taken a hit which would
just make it damage. I can't really say for sure which it is.
Maybe someone else can tell better.

It could be Struck Through as JimmyD said, but I can't tell for sure.

I don't have an image of a dime with coin wrapper damage. But that might be what we are seeing?

I've attempted to take a better picture to show the depth of the Abnormality, to no Success. With the way this mark curves so perfectly, it's hard to imagine it being just damage. How would I found out for sure if it's "Struck-Through" a piece of string/wire/Ect, versus just perfectly shaped Damage? Also, could you fill in on what Coin Wrapper damage is?

I researched the whole Coin Wrapper Damage thing. And the dimes I found with that damage had a much wider circular mark. Mostly around the outside of Roosevelt's head. This would be tighter than that. But then again, I suppose Coin Wrappers come in different sizes and shapes...
