I'm not sure how rare this $20 is, but it looked cool to me. I traded a friend of mine some magic beans for it, and we both were happy. Is this a keeper or just a typical Star Note? Thanks.

I guess it depends if you don't mind stained and previously folded notes. If it were me, I would spend it. BTW, it's not rare, a better description would be somewhat scarce.

Early on, I was reading an article by Q David Bowers about collecting paper money and he wrote, "If you have to describe a note with the word "but", then pass". The OP's note is a low run star, but it has a distracting stain and a tight lower margin. If I found it in the wild, I would keep it until I found a nicer example. I would not buy it.
