In a fairly new PCGS PF-66 RD holder. It's nice looking, but does the toning still make it a legit RD piece?

According to PCGS toned coins can't be red, so

Here's the pic from the PCGS website, so it was toned at the time it was encapsulated. Odd.

I'd call it Red-Brown but it is right on the edge of full Red.

Value drop of $30,000 going from Red to Red-Brown is significant. Perhaps proofs as rare as this one get some breaks?

Let us know when you get it in-hand! :)

Tough call. Even if I had the dough I wouldn't pay 66RD money for this. Looks unstable.

I would consider it still red but on the cusp of consideration for RB. Regardless, it is a beautiful coin.

Nice coin! Close to RB but RD seems OK for a proof.

If I'm not mistaken, that's currently in the GC auction.

Never got the $50k minimum bid. It's not mine, and I'm not a buyer at that price.

That's a seriously volatile coin. Stupid money to me.

In my eyes, a red. Beautiful coin, but not for that kind of money when others exist. 49 with 8 higher. Someone lacks patients I would say.

It's changing before our eyes. Want proof? Bring it back in a few years.
