Hello,

I have a 1937 Wheat penny with no L or I in the Liberty area and no mint mark. Is this worth anything?

Thank you!

I can make out the very left side of the L, but I would call that a Grease Fill. Those letters on the die got plugged with grease and could not strike correctly. It is fairly common, so I don't think any extra value would be warranted.

Looks like a Grease Filled Die on the LI.
There is no MM because it was minted in Philadelphia.

Would have been worth something if in better condition. Some people collect those kind of errors.

Interesting Greaser but pretty worn and Grease Filled Dies are a common occurrence. Only worth a couple cents IMO.

It would be a nice addition if one had a yearly series of Grease Filled Die strikes...I'd keep it.
