Hi, Recently purchased some silver dollars/world coins from my friend's mom, whose husband passed away in 2017. One of them was a 1909 Philippines Peso. First one I'd ever seen and I didn't have my loupe or microscope with me, so I did a quick and dirty grading and looked it up on ebay. Paid $18 for it. I have been examining the coins under my cheap ebay microscope and noticed this aberration on the mm. Been researching online, and it looks like the s/s/s variety. Any opinions would be appreciated, because I think I owe "Titi Velia" a bit more money than I paid. I'm grading as vf/xf details because the fields have abrasive hairline (old/worn) arcs on both sides. Thanks for looking.
Thanks, Fioti...the verification of variety is appreciated. Now to work out an installment plan with Titi, which I'm sure won't be a problem. Thanks again...
Thanks, Errers and Varieties...This is the coolest find in the 38 years I've dabbled in collecting. Also the most beautiful design IMHO. Titi is happy with the news and I am very happy to give this beauty a forever home...
KembotMo, Greetings from USA. It is a peso...and might I add Melicio Figueroa's collaboration with Barber is one of the single most beautiful design I have ever seen. Your D/D is a beauty!
