here I have a 1995-P Quarter and the Y in LIBERTY seems to be maybe something hung over while pressed its still very shiny camera stinks iam not sure how the pictures will come out.....opinions?
To CCF! I am happy to say that this is called a Cud (Major Die Break). It happens when a piece of the die breaks off. It will cause coins to have a raised blob, when they're struck. http://cuds-on-coins.com/washington...s-1932-1999/
That is indeed a Cud and not currently listed in that link that E&V posted. The 1996P-01 is very similar, but, obviously, a different year. I suggest you get in contact with JC Stevens to get this attributed and credited to you on the site:
