Buffalo 5 Cent Strange Gashes Around Rim.

Xanthum New Member Canada 2 Posts	Posted 06/01/2019 01:44 am I would dismiss this as damage if not for the fact that these gashes cause the rim to slightly bleed into the face of the coin as if it were melted though I could just be underestimating the malleability of the coin. These gashes only extend through one corner of the edge, it's a pretty hard to see on the second photo. Report this Post to the Staff

Perhaps it saw circulation after those gouges were made in the rim and this has caused the metal to look a little like it started out there.
