Hi I'm Melissa from Oklahoma and I'm very new to collecting, I just squires my first coin a 1943 Walking Liberty half dollar. I was looking at it and I was wondering has anyone else noticed that Liberty is spelled wrong

To CCF , the B-E-R IS partially covered by the design of the coin . It is perfectly normal on this type of coin .

But I'd you look at the other E's on the back the bottom line is more uniform with the other lines. On the E in Liberty is clearly an F the center line is placed higher like in an F. Look closely 1943-Walking-Liberty
