Too small for me to even try grading.
But NGC and PCGS don't like each other.

Thanks - I agree this is a solid 66 if not better.

The back story on this coin is that I purchased it from a private seller who told me that he had purchased it in a NGC slab with a MS 65 grade. This individual sent the coin to PCGS and it crossed MS 64. That is when he offered the coin for sale and I purchased it. I never was privy to the NGC MS 65 label. Currently the coin is being re-graded at NGC. It is a really nice coin, I hope it comes back higher than a 64. I will post the results when I get them.

Thank you for your opinions.

Of all the Canadian silver dollars the least valuable in MS65 is the '49.
At MS65 it isn't worth the cost of grading.
You better hope it comes back 66 or better or you'll be in a negative investment situation.
Another factor to consider is that to most Canadian collectors NGC is second rate compared to PCGS.

Correct me if if I am wrong, but I have (I think), an impaired specimen 1949 ship Dollar in MS61 condition.

Reasonably sharply struck with polished fields, but not cameo.

@ bigmarty58
Of all the tens of thousands of Canadian grading posts you are probably the first person who has ever expressed a desire to cross a Canadian circulation coin from PCGS to NGC.
There is a reason no-one does it, it's a sure way to spend good money after bad.
A PCGS MS66 is money in the bank, an NGC MS66 will always be tough to sell.

65. A bit of flatness in the strike holds it back. The benchmark for grading these is much tougher than other silver dollar years because great care was taken during shipment. They were shipped in tubes rather than loose in bags.

Basically a who cares situation .
Why Cross it , no one in Canada will care!
Even in 66 , which this piece is not ( 65 at best to a Canadian) these are
A very tough sell. 1949 Dollars are very easy to find in 65 or better .
