I was off work yesterday and going through some old albums I've bought over the years. Thought I had removed all of the coins from them.
Well, not quite as I found this in an old Library of Coins folder.

VDB-Surprise.
VDB-Surprise.

Kind of made my day. The folder had 35 coins in it including a decent 1909 and a 1911 that is XF but looks like it took a long ago cleaning.

Still a nice surprise.

very nice...I like that color!
Any signs of wear? It's at least XF45, but probably better.

My scans are not the greatest. I do detect a bit of rub but see no reason it wouldn't go AU58.

Very nice!

I did this a few years ago when I moved. I found that I still had some coins in my original Lincoln Cent and Jefferson nickel Whitman folders. Then I remembered I previously started to fill them in with duplicates just to see how much of a second set I could build. It was not that much it seems.

Nice!

The scans look high AU, but with the luster it could go MS62.
