I have a very limited history on the coin. My dad said he bought these over a decade ago for bullion value. There are roughly 50 peace/morgan dollars in a zip lock bag and this one stood out to me as having less wear than most of the others.
the surfaces are too dull for an original hi AU or UNC coin. the coin may have been a little over dipped. look closely at the coin in hand to see if there is light greenish hue overall which could be from the way it was stored. looks like a slider grade wise. I'm at AU details based on what I'm seeing
Thank you for the grading input, everyone. Much appreciated. The local coin club is teaching a class on grading Thursday night and I am very excited. I have watched the PCGS videos, but there is no substitute for hands on instruction.
I have changed my coin photography setup, so I want to see how the new photos compare. I really struggled to provide photos showing this coins luster accurately, and wanted to try again with the new setup. Do these photos do a better job communicating the luster and make it easier to judge eye appeal? As always, thanks in advance for your input.
