Hey fellow coin enthusiasts, I found another questionable nickel in the till yesterday, I've noticed the mint mark appears to be a blob rather than clear like other 89' D's I've seen. Now knowing 1989 is the last year they hand punched mint marks, its probably just a bad quality strike but I just wanted to double check with anyone to see if it's just a crappily struck MM or something like a RPM, doubt it, but just making sure before I spend it. Thank you!!

It looks like a broken post in the mint mark. These are common and don't add any value. Keep looking!

A broken post.
Certainly not uncommon with D & P mm.
