Guys/Gals and everyone in between, I can not find anything on a 2001 P NC State Quarter with a Satin Finish or SMS. However, I have one in hand and here are the pics. I don't know if you can tell the difference in finish by pics of the obv & rev so I included some rim pics. My thinking is, it is an odd fake, or I am overlooking something with blinders on .... Your thoughts and opinions are much appreciated.

Your coin is not an odd fake, it's a normal, circulated damage, worn coin. No more no less. It may look like a satin finish in hand because the surface has taken so many hits. It's worth 25 cents, spend it.
