I am naming it, The rare elusive FAT HEAD LITTLE HEAD Lincoln Cent Error. Hardest Error coin to find in the Lincoln Cent series. Then I am going to buy it up for sale on Etsy for ONE MILLION DOLLARS >>>> P.S. If any of you would like to buy it I'll sell it to you for one cent LOL
The die polishing altered the die. So who ever polished the die. Spared no effort to remove something. Thus the two headed statue and the polishing on the left side near the column. (you just have to realize the bays are the outside edge of the die the same as the fields. So an isolated polishing will show as a raised mark on the bays and fields on the coins)
I've found one of these before, I thought I posted it here on the forum but I can't find it. It is a "die abrasion" issue as John points out. There is evidence that what people called die abrasion doubling is just a form of Die Deterioration Doubling.
