KLD Pillar of the Community Australia 1079 Posts	Posted 02/05/2006 05:38 am I perosnally think the below coin is a beautiful coin. In Australia this coin was some what a flop. In all honesty this has some what affected the appeal of the coin to me. I have two questions here : 1/ Does the financial benefit of a coin affect the coins appeal (even a little bit)? 2/ What do you think of this issue? Report this Post to the Staff

lim118 Pillar of the Community Australia 1529 Posts	Posted 02/05/2006 06:04 am I think it is quite a nice coin with a small holographic olympic logo, definitely better than the tri metal issue.... However, coins minted in commemoration of sporting events have never performed well, this perhaps is due to over saturation by various Mints all issuing coins at the same time to celebrate a global sporting event. I have one of it and as current CV's do not worry me, I continue to enjoy having this coin in my collection. Report this Post to the Staff
