Another one that has been in a flip for 40 plus years. Thanks in advance for your time.

The obverse has an odd shine to it?

I agree with John, something off about the surfaces. From these it looks to have been polished at one point. Maybe AU Details based on these pics.

Agree surfaces do not appear natural in these pics, though the detail is strong.

I'll work on the picts, I'm working with a iphone and a makeshift light box (2 liter bottle wrapped in tissue paper)..I'm finding that coins with a lot of luster or mirroring are difficult to capture what is in hand vs what is captured in a pict.

Polished with AU details. Looks like it went over a buffing wheel a few times.

The obverse relative to the reverse.
I'd say AU details from the pics!
I still like it.

BH1964

the cleaning/polishing is very noticeable across the reverse. hairline scratches all over the devices. take a close look a the scratches across "E PLURIBUS UNUM". since this is a common coin imo it would not have any collector value over melt. AU details

Remember the 1928 Peace is actually a much better date in the series.

This coin is worth many multiples of melt value. Probably well over $100.

@panzaldi - doesn't sound like your usual spot-on reply.
