Most buyers pay the same day or in a day or two. Someone bought a coin from me (auction) a week ago. ebay invoiced them that day and I invoiced the buyer the next day. It has been a week and buyer has not paid.

Do I re-invoice the buyer or contact ebay or just wait a bit? It was only $4 with shipping and I have not mailed it yet. Can't imagine someone getting cold feet over a $4 item.

I think as a seller you are able to cancel the order and relist or you can complain to ebay about non-payment. But I wouldn't do that over $4.

Do I need to talk to someone at ebay to cancel or can I do that myself?

If it were me, I'd file an NPB.

Always send a follow up invoice if they still do not pay
Then file a non paying bidder . Not that it really means a lot .

I have been guilty of throwing a starting bid on an item I don't have time I have time to check out when I am searching for a specific item.
While I meant to follow up and watch the bid, life or work takes over and I forget about the item, and very occasionally I unwittingly end up winning the item.
Long story but my suggestion ....try sending a message he may have overlooked or forgotten the item and or the bid.

This has happened to me a few times so I enabled the 'Unpaid Item Assistant' - now I leave it to ebay to chase payment if the buyer doesn't pay after two days.

if you sell on ebay.ca, you can open a unpaid item request after 4 days, then after 4 more days, you can close the case if payment hasn't been received, then you can relist the item, and get your fees back.

That's the best thing to do. (Key words) get your fees back

Thanks for the advice. I sent him another invoice yesterday and a comment asking if he was still interested. If no reply, I will cancel tonight.

I would report an unpaid buyer. https://www.ebay.com/help/selling/g...ai=lucenceai Let ebay figure out the details. If you cancel the order, they can still leave you a negative feedback.
