Thank you everyone for your time! I am new to collecting and will have many questions in the future. Just starting to go through Dad's collection and learning as I go. Also learning the ropes with the USB microscope. Is the 1975 doubled here? It looks much different than my last post which was die wear. Thank you again everyone!

Appears to be Machine Doubling. Others will weigh-in.

Thank you...I have been reading as many articles as possible to help distinguish die wear vs doubling..this time I can clearly see the doubling in all directions as I turn the coin.

Hi and welcome:) I had an email that helped me better understand what to look for in doubling. He said to look for splits/notches in the serifs.

Also the dies were way over polished. It reduced the normal size of the digits a lot.

This is what size it should be. MD covered about half of the size of the thinned digits. The DDO is huge compared with the OP's coin.
