Minnimarine Pillar of the Community United States 721 Posts	Posted 02/07/2021 3:15 pm I know it is in bad shape but not as bad as it looks. So a dime weighs 2.6 and 17.91. A penny of that year would be 3.0 and 19.05. This penny is actually 2.6 Report this Post to the Staff

If it were acid dipped, the outside rim would be reduced or even missing. So I ruled out acid dipping. Report this Post to the Staff

Tje same was said about a 1969 nickel I posted for opinion on it being copper and most every one said environmental. There is no carosion holes or any thing.
