Just a nice, lightly circulated, 43-S cent that is not rusted out. I don't see anything extraordinary about it.

1943's are VERY common. In nice uncirculated grades they are worth only a few bucks. This coin has been circulated and is unattractive. It's worth about 5 cents.

A very common coin in this state. Not uncirculated, worth less than a dollar.

Rest in Peace

Pretty much agree with the above. Thinking the coin would run in the 25 cents to $1.50 range. Suggest checking ebay sold information for '43 S steel cents (appearing similar to yours).

It's a nice, magnetic piece of American history to hold onto. As others have said, it's not an uncirculated coin, but so many of these have been re-plated or otherwise damaged that it's nice to actually see an unadulterated 1943-S!
