Opinions On This 1882 Shield Nickel For Sale

Sure fire way to know it isn't is the date logotype for 1883 is much wider than the one for 1882. On the 1883 there is almost enough room for another digit between the 8 and the 3. On the 1882 the 8 and 2 are close together as on this coin. You can't have an 83/2 without the 1883 logotype. This is an 1883/2 (there are 5 different varieties) notice how much space there is between the digits. Report this Post to the Staff

It's been leaving unfilled hopes and dreams for many, you aren't the first. Legit attributed 1883/2 are actually rather scarce and there are probably hundreds of this filled 2 for every 3/2 found.
