The only thing it might do is arrest any further corrosion. That being said if the colouring on the picks is correct some one has already made an attempt to clean this one. BH1964 Bedrock of the Community United States 10982 Posts	Posted 01/28/2009 5:25 pm I've had success with Verdi-Gone and would give it a try. As stated above this coin has excellent detail but serious problems. If it were mine I'd try Verdi-Gone and then use Coin Care (or similar) to preserve it as best you can. BadThad Bedrock of the Community United States 19969 Posts	Posted 01/28/2009 6:03 pm The corrosion on this coin looks to be very deep. Chances are the surface below is pitted where the verdigris has actually "pulled" copper from the surface. At this point, you don't have much to lose because in the current condition it loses a ton of value. VERDI-GONE™ should remove most of the verdigris, but you may not like what's underneath.
