This is cross posted to the VAM forum. Seller's pictures. The listing on ebay only had this as a '78 7TF no variety, so I think I got a good deal on it because of that. What do y'all think about the grade?

since the 7/8 tail typically are average strikes I think this one has seen a little circulation. the reverse does look a little weak but not all is from strike.

looking at the wheat, high points of all the hair, cotton, leaves, breast, eagle head and neck, I think shes a slider at AU58

You guys are probably right about AU58, but I'm not entirely convinced this coin has seen any circulation other than being slapped about in bags.

I think the reverse strike is uneven as well as soft, and I'm having difficulty seeing anything that is unequivocal wear, except possibly on the blooms northeast of Liberty's ear.

A nice coin to own for sure.

I think it is MS60, AU58s have usually lost their lustre and this one retains it.

Thank you all for the opinions. I was thinking it was low MS, but I'm still very new to grading. Once I get the coin in I'll try to take some different pictures as well and post them.

(not related to this coin) just as a side note...i'd rather have a nice looking AU58 than a crappy looking MS63

Sent this in for grading with NGC and was the only coin I got back with a decent grade. Ended up with MS-62
