1976 D Lincoln Memorial Cent Repunched Mint Mark / RPM ?

mrwhatisit Pillar of the Community United States 2978 Posts	Posted 04/25/2022 6:22 pm The doubling on the IN appears to be Strike Doubling or post mint damage, and I don't see anything that looks like a rpm to me, most likely damage again to the mintmark. coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 04/26/2022 1:32 pm Incuse areas on the devices are most often coin contact from another coin. If it were a RPM, the size of the mintmark would be enlarged, not reduced like Machine Doubling does. It removes the contour from the affected area. Just a damaged coin when this happens.
