I just picked some up...thought this one looked promising. Still has luster. Sorry about the shadows...work in progress.

Looks to me to be a Type 2 reverse, nice find.

It is difficult to see many of the surface details clearly in these pics.

I agree!

I also agree that larger photos will be needed for a proper grade, but it looks like a decent example. Well done!

Ok...so I just used the new optimizer for the first time on 1927 SLQ to practice...
Using the crummy pic I posted of this Ike...lets see what these look like...

Much improved!

I see some spots that could be circulation rubs, but could also be how it was captured by the lighting and camera. The latter would be a decent MS-63; while the former would land it on the higher AU range. Either way, it makes a nice addition to your Ike set.

I have to figure out my light position for sure...
I was thinking 58-63 myself.
I've got a Type lll I want to post as well...probably this weekend.

My first thought was AU-58. But I could see this one in a TPG slab at MS-62.

It seems to me that the coin has many disadvantages. Scratches on the face are the most important. I wouldn't give it above MS-63.
