On My 1989 D Quarter Is This A Doubled Die I'm still Having Trouble Figuring Out Whats A Doubled Die

prisbrey1 Pillar of the Community United States 936 Posts	Posted 08/08/2022 7:09 pm ok I'm still having trouble figuring out what a doubled die looks like so on my 1989 D quarter it looks doubled to me in the in god we trust so what do you guys see is it doubling did I get this one right? This made the letters in IGWT wider and is partly counteracted by the Machine Doubling. coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 08/09/2022 10:09 pm When you look at the outside/inside edges during circulation those are the two areas where you will find either Machine Doubling or towards the rim, die wear on the dies. Neither are a plus for a coin, as well as circulation flattening. Mostly on quarters, the flattening is vending machine damage to the devices near the edges of the coins.
