So my findings were correct these two coins are burnished coins.

I gave this coin a swim in acetone as well as turpentine but the coin still the same, now I'm definitely convinced that these two coins are burnished and looks similar to the New Zealand burnished penny.

Still I need many New Zealand pre-decimal and decimal coins 14× florins, 7× half crowns, 6× penny's 2× crowns these pre-decimals I acquired through friends and all the decimal coins I received through circulation finds and friends, Long way too go.

Very funny with this coin only difference between this $2 coin and the burnished 5 cent is on the 5 cent the edges stay black and this $2 does not.

Nice that you have done some experiments however your logic is a tad flawed. Soaking the coins in the above products only means that the discolouration of the coins cannot be removed by a limited selection of organic solvents. You have basically done the equivalent of soaking a rusty nail in some organic solvents and concluded that the nail is burnished because the solvent did not remove the rust.

What would you suggest maybe paint stripper it would only ruin the coin.
I have ruled out that coins were buried because I have couple of coins that were buried but does not come close too this coin, plus corrosion would definitely be on it if buried or rust.

If the material has reacted with the metal surface of the coin then unfortunately nothing will bring it back to new condition.
