I started a thread on this in the general disscusion forum
Well I live in Townsville and we did not suffer much, only wind and rain but Innisfail is trashed big time. the Agricultural sector has really suffered as well, 90% of all bananas and 50% of sugar cane in Australia has been destroyed, the price of bananas has already gone up $12 a box, sugar is expected to follow suit. Kiss goodbye 4000 jobs
Larry has fallen apart and is flooding out west but I'm more concerned with Cyclone Wati, this one is coming in as well by the look of things.

Even as we "speak", the Met Bereau has issued a cyclone watch for North Western Australia. TC Floyd is now 900 klms north of Broome. Though it is now just a cat 1 we will know more in the next 48 hours. Time once again to batten down the hatches and keep your coins safe....

For those of you who didn't know, Lim lives in the most cyclone-prone area on the planet.

We may live in the most unhospitable and cyclone prone region in this continent, but it is also, minerals wise, the richest region.Gold, Platinum,Uranium,Iron Ore....we have them all...

The Aussies are one tough bunch! Glad to hear so many are already reporting in! Hey lim in you have so much minerals in your area you could show a little compassion a ship some to Indiana? Maybe we could work out a trade, corn for precious metals?

Well I live in Brisbane so was not greatly affected by Larry. Our brothers in FNQ (Far North Queensland) bore the brunt of it.
We are now waiting to see what Watti does.
I know we need rain but we do not need the damage that is caused by the strong winds.
Queensland, beautiful one day and still beautiful the next!
