Is there any saving this coin. Should I put it in junk silver jar?

Yes, certainly not silver. While posting additional photos, consider giving the coin a long soak in 100% acetone. Won't hurt the coin, may reduce some of the 'stuff' on the coin.

No saving that poor Buff. Looks like a dug coin or detector find.

Nothing you do will improve the appearance, unfortunately, except perhaps a very long soak in virgin olive oil, which can take weeks or months and will need to be changed out every once in awhile.

Too damaged to consider it as anything except a space-filler.
Hold it until you can get a better one.
