Sorry that some of you may have heard this story before. This coin has lots of sentimental value to me. My Mom gave it to me in the 1950's when I showed an interest in coin collecting. My Dad bought her an inexpensive piece of jewelry when they were dating in the 1930's. You can see the mounting notches on the reverse of the coin.

And the last of the Morgan's. I am slowly working on building a complete set of Morgan's while I also work on my other collecting goals. Probably 5-10 years away

1921-S. Had to wait until the last day to post my one and only Morgan. It came from grandpa's pile that he disbursed in 1972, and it's been in the same 2x2 ever since. I imagine him saving it from circulation when he was a trumpet player in Chicago speakeasies during the Roaring Twenties.

I had fun, thanks @AcesKings. How about continuing by setting up a new post, with Peace dollars, one year at a time? There's only 10.

A day without fine wine and working on your coin collection is like a day without sunshine!
