This Sacagawea dollar honors John Herrington, the first Native American in space, alongside Mary Golda Ross and the Atlas-Agena rocket. The coin was issued during the 50th anniversary of Apollo 11. Your research should lead to the conclusion that Position A means the edge lettering is facing down when you view the coins obverse, and the edge lettering is facing up when you view the coins obverse.
