Do you have a preference? My Charlton 57th is a little out of date and I'm looking for recommendations one way or the other. Not too concerned about the price.

Coins of Canada 27th Edition by J. A. Haxby & R. C. Willey (Spiral-bound) $25
OR
Charlton's Standard Catalogue of Canadian Coins 63rd Edition by W. K. Cross (Spiral-bound) $20

Hi Freezerburn,

I personally use both. I like being able to compare notes on values, vairities. And each has different photos of coins included so I like that too.

Both are good, but Charlton is my pick.

Both have positive attributes, as malissadawn referred to. I used to prefer the Haxby, but Charlton serves my purpose too.

I use both as well. In addition, I subscribe to Canadian Coin News. While I use the books for background information, I rely more on CCN for the current trends.
