Can anyone help me with identifying or dating this item?

Unusual in that diameter is small compared to the thickness, suggesting substantial trimming/shaving has taken place on the edges.

Diameter: 19.6mm (at it's widest)
Thickness: about 4mm (slightly tapered)
Weight: 9.39 grams

Yes, Indian. Gwalior, Jayaji Rao Sindhia (1843-1886).

Because your coin has the correct weight, I don't think it was shaved, and this would be unusual for a bronze coin. It was just a thicker planchet, and therefore smaller diameter, than the example in Zeno.
