I won this coin in an ebay auction at a pretty decent price. I'm thinking this raw half dollar would likely grade MS-63. The fields are clean but there are a lot of tiny contact marks on Miss Liberty. What do the forum graders think?

Excellent pictures and a fantastic looking coin. Even with the contact marks which are very light I would say this coin would grade MS-64.

Should be a lock MS63. 64 is possible too though.

I would give it a 63. I think there is just a little too much chatter on the obverse to get higher. The hits in the sun and rays area might hold it back from a 64 , coupled with the planchet scratches down the middle, and what looks like a couple small hits on her outstretched arm. A nicely struck coin , with a nice thumb and almost all the feathers on the eagles leg. Great looking Walker, I love them- My Walkers remain right now as the only complete set (Date and MM) I own.
