Yes, it's a lamination issue. A bit of woody on the obverse.

Could be a Rim to Rim lam! And like @ijn1944 a possible "woody" reverse.

. If you have searched, any time at all, especially wheats, you will find that lams will amost always be paired with woodies but not always the reverse, the woodies need to have a bad enough alloy mix to create the lam and that does not always happen. So, when you have a lam, there will almost always be a woody present, but you can have a wood grain coin without a lam....
