what was amazing was the condition. I don't have a lot of experience grading nickels but my best estimate is EF-AU condition. It still has some mint luster. It is dinged along the rim but the more I look at it I believe the ding is a small lamination. I will try to get photos up tonight for everyone's feedback but I was so excited to see one this old in this condition in a bank roll I had to tell you all about it.

Very nice!

In that condition, it might be from a collection dump.

That was my thinking too. The wrapper had a name on it and from 3 of these rolls I got 3 War Nickels. I am going to stop back by the same bank and see if they have any more wrappers with that name on them. I might just hit paydirt!

I went back to the bank and managed to find 3 more rolls with the same name and, lo and behold, 2 more War Nickels,a 1943 S and a 1945 P. I wish I could get my hands on a box of those rolls. LOL

P.S.: I tried pictures but they were awful so I will give scanning a try tomorrow night when I get home from work.
